In 2016, GungHo Online Entertainment published a game titled Let it Die. It was a roguelite action production set on a post-apocalyptic Earth, created by Grasshopper Manufacture. In 2022, the second game under this brand was released, titled Deathverse: Let it Die. It was focused on player competition and was developed by the Japanese studio Supertrick Games.

The servers of the latter were shut down after less than a year, and its creators began working on a third title, composed of key elements from its two predecessors. This led to the creation of Let it Die: Inferno described here, which is an extraction roguelite game.

Gameplay

In Let it Die: Inferno the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP).

Expeditions to the abyss

During the game we take on the role of the so-called Raiders. Its main feature consists of expeditions into the abyss, where a city-sized hole has formed on the Earth's surface. The main goal that guides us is to collect a substance called SPLithium, because if we do not obtain the minimum amount, evacuation will not be possible.

Enemies and dynamic skirmishes

During the exploration of the underground, we must constantly stay alert, as we must face monsters known as Yuckies, warriors sent by the Yotsuyama Group, as well as our fellow adventurers. The latter may not be positively inclined towards us, as our loot can be a tempting prize for them. To make matters worse, the number of escape pods (which are the only means of evacuation) is limited.
