Risk of Rain 2 for PC is a continuation of a well-received game that combines elements of platform games, RPGs, and roguelike productions. Like its predecessor, the game has been developed by Hopoo Games.
Similarly to the first installment in the series, the PC release of Risk of Rain 2 does not feature any elaborate story. Once again, a player assumes the role of a character traversing the surface of an unknown distant planet with the objective of surviving in this unwelcoming environment and exploring locations filled with aggressive adversaries.
In the game, a player observes the action from the third person perspective (TPP). Similarly to other games representing this genre, one has to move between platforms, avoid countless traps, and fight the opponents using an elaborate arsenal as well as unique skills of particular characters. In comparison to its predecessor, Risk of Rain 2 offers improved character development system and elaborate crafting mechanics.
Risk of Rain 2 is the first game that developers from Hopoo Games have designed in 3D. Nonetheless, the colorful visuals featuring somewhat comic book like style might appeal to many players – in particular, one is bound to appreciate the colorful effects accompanying the battles with the opponents.
