Life is Strange: Aftermath is a visual novel set in the world from the first part of the Life is Strange series. It was developed by an independent team Retro Zone Studios and is distributed for free.
Life is Strange: Aftermath takes place after the events presented in the first installment of the Life is Strange series. After making a difficult choice that determines the future of Arcadia Bay and the fate of Chloe Price, Max Caufield tries to rebuild her life. The girl makes new friends, which with time turn into friendships and romance, at the same time trying to pull herself together and deal with the trauma she suffered.
The gameplay in Life is Strange: Aftermath is all about following the story. Talking to various characters and accompanying Max in her attempt to start a new life, we make decisions which influence the further course of the story and the fate of the protagonist and her relationships with particular people. It is worth noting that this is not a game designed exclusively for fans of the first Life is Strange. For players unfamiliar with the plot of the original a short introduction was prepared.
Graphics in Life is Strange: Aftermath is designed in a cartoon style. It consists of 2D, hand-drawn character sprites and backgrounds depicting locations where the characters are.
