HOPAs, or hidden object adventure games, which require perceptiveness above all, are popular due mainly to their accessibility. One of them is Lost and Found Co., a work of the independent Bit Egg team from Thailand, in which we play the role of Ducky (a duck turned into a human trainee) working for the eponymous company.

Gameplay

In Lost and Found Co. we view events in an isometric view. Our overriding task is to help the characters find objects and return the lost items belonging to them. In the game world we will find numerous NPCs, as well as various objects with which we can interact.

The production is divided into levels, which are maintained in a style reminiscent of children's books and magazines, with puzzles in the style of "Where is Wally?". As you go through them, you put your perceptiveness to more and more tests.

Smash Jump: 8 / 10 by Joseph Shay

Lost and Found Co. is a modern take on a historied genre that shows just how far you can take a “simple” genre when a studio understands game design and develops a game with love and care.

Overall, I found Lost and Found Co to be a simple and relaxing game that I could play in short bursts as well as longer stretches. The colorful, hidden object levels are a pleasure to explore with so many interactable objects and secrets in addition to the reward of growing Ducky and Mei Long’s Lost and Found business.

Kakuchopurei: 90 / 100 by Jonathan Toyad

Lost & Found Co. is a delightful and charming indie offering from our Southeast Asian neighbours up north if you fancy a light-hearted pixel-hunting endeavour. It's detailed and full of life and colour, telling its low-stakes story (in feels, at least) with glee and features a delightful cast of characters and miscreants.
