A shooting in which we observe the action from a top-down perspective. In Machine Hunter we play the role of a soldier equipped with a special suit allowing him to take control of the robots, which in turn gives him access to the arsenal used by them. This is important as the Eurocom Entertainment Software studio takes us to Mars, and our task is to counter the attack from aggressive aliens.
Machine Hunter Description
Machine Hunter is an action game in which we observe events from a top-down perspective. The title was developed by Eurocom Entertainment Software.
Story
The action of Machine Hunter is set in 2084, when people managed to colonize Mars. But the red planet has also found itself in the sights of an alien civilization, which decided to deal with its new inhabitants and reprogramme the mining robots working there, turning them into killing machine. The eponymous hunters were sent to the place - their task is to deal with the threat.
Mechanics
In Machine Hunter we take on the role of one of such soldiers. The hero is equipped with a special suit enabling him to take direct control of nine types of robots, which in turn gives him access to the arsenal they use. The game is divided into levels - in order to get to the next stage, we must not only eliminate everything that stands in our way (from machines and automatic sentry towers, through alien soldiers, to mutants and oversized insects) but also save all civilians. The game is enriched by the presence of various power-ups, which can increase our firepower or restore some of health, as well as enable us to use more powerful weapons like mines, bombs or even spiky balls.
Game modes
Machine Hunter can be played solo or in cooperation with another person - the game features a local multiplayer mode.
Technical aspects
Machine Hunter doesn't allow the state of game to be saved at any time; instead, the devs decided to implement a password-based system that enables the players to start playing from the stage on which they've finished playing.
