Release Date: August 25, 2015
The 27th major installment in one of the most popular sport game series dedicated to American football, began in 1989 by Electronic Arts. As always, we are looking at a realistic football simulator with a famed Career mode, allowing us to lead a promising team through the subsequent steps of football hierarchy.
Madden NFL 16 for PS4, X360 and etc. is the twenty-seventh fully-fledged installment of Madden NFL series, released by Electronic Arts annually since 1988 (with a small hiatus in 1989), untill 1993 known as John Madden Football. Following the footmarks set by Madden NFL 15, we are dealing with a realistic American football simulator, which was developed by EA Tiburon, an internal studio of Electronic Arts also known as EA Sports.
As always, Madden NFL means an extensive career mode, in which the player takes the reins of a promising football team, and begins a long road, climbing to the top of football hierarchy. Those searching for a quick kick-off can choose one of the other, less complex gameplay modes, including a quick match, or take part in one of the multiplayer games.
The new edition introduces a number of novelties, including a previously unavailable Draft mode (focusing on creating and managing a team), multiple improvements to Connected Franchise mode (resulting in less complicated gameplay), more realistic quarterbacks, improved mid-air actions (as a result of new animations), special coverage for well-performed actions, and further upgrades to Ultimate Team mode.
Similarly to its predecessor, Madden NFL 16 for PS4, X360 and etc. is powered by Ignite, an engine developed by EA Sports for eighth generation consoles. However, seventh generation consoles reuse a different, less sophisticated engine called Impact.

Game Ratings for Madden NFL 16 Video Game.
Destructoid: 6.5 / 10 by Steven Hansen
The insistence towards microtransaction-laden Ultimate Team and the new fantasy football-cribbed Draft Champions modes is useless. Throwing, catching, and defending throws have seen some welcomed, long-ignored additions that get a couple yards closer to faithful simulation. You can decide if that's enough.
God is a Geek: 8.5 / 10 by Mike Stubbsy
The on-pitch action and the game modes on offer present what is easily the best Madden package of this generation so far.
Push Square: 8 / 10 by Sam Brooke
Madden NFL 16 is a fine addition to the series that started way back in 1989. Draft Champions adds a lot of replayability to a game already jam-packed with content, the new in-match mechanics give you a greater sense of control than ever before, and Madden Ultimate Team is steadily growing bigger and better. Sure, loading times are long, but the presentation and the way that the crowd reacts to every move is well worth it. All in all, it seems as though Madden as a series won't be deflating any time soon.
