McPixel 3 is the second (contrary to what the title suggests) installment of the humorous adventure game series, launched in 2012. It was developed by Sos Sosowski, an independent Polish developer, and published by Devolver Digital.
In McPixel 3 we once again play as McPixel, who has to prevent further disasters. As the game is full of crazy or even absurd humor (not without a reason, there are over 900 gags in it), the protagonist uses very unconventional solutions to stop the threats.
McPixel 3 is a side scrolling game. We have to solve various puzzles on over 100 levels. Puzzles consist of entering into unique and unusual interactions with the environment and using items. What makes things more complicated is the fact that solving puzzles requires going beyond the comfort zone and the usual schemes. During his travels McPixel has to send a tyrannosaur into space, lick a big monster on the eye, kick Fork Parker from Devolver Digital (who is a fictional financial director of the company) on the crotch or summon a billionaire spider. Besides, the time limit for solving each puzzle is another obstacle.
Gameplay is varied by more than 20 different mini-games, including: rail shooter, various arcade games, shoot'em up or even a simple brawler.
Just like the first part of the series, McPixel 3 features simple but clear graphics made in pixel art technique.
