Memoriapolis PC

Memoriapolis is a city builder developed by the independent company 5PM Studio. The game combines elements characteristic of such series as Cities: Skylines and Sid Meier's Civilization - it allows us to develop the city over subsequent historical eras.

Gameplay

Memoriapolis is a simulator of building and developing a metropolis during the course of 2,500 years. We start by linking the fate of our city with one of the cultures, which provides us with specific benefits. For example, by choosing philosophers, we increase our chances of finding treasures, craftsmen will provide us with more natural resources, and priests can expect donations from the faithful.

After that we create the foundations of the ancient city, so that with each subsequent era (the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment) we gain access to new mechanics, buildings or improvements. During this period, we gradually create law through decrees and build a network of mutual dependencies (including the production of goods with their storage). The metropolis develops organically in the meantime (for example, we do not have to worry about building roads).

Apart from managing resources and interfering in politics or administration, we also face numerous problems. The city's residents are exposed to hunger, fires, and also historical disasters like the Black Death epidemic. Their dissatisfaction may lead to strikes and riots, which we will not be able to handle without the help of soldiers. Fortunately, there are also positive events in Memoriapolis.

An important element of the city are special buildings referred to here as wonders - their construction significantly affects the prestige of the metropolis. These include, among others, the Library of Alexandria, Windsor Castle, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Palace of Versailles.
