Mexican Motor Mafia is an uncomplicated action game similar in convention to Wasteland Angel or, due to the scenery and style of the game, to the cult Interstate '76. The title is the responsibility of the independent Science of Tomorrow studio, composed of two enthusiasts - John Loehrin and Michael Geiger.

The production action takes us to "Amexico", a dangerous borderland between America and Mexico, where in the desert areas of the states of Chiuhuahua, New Mexico and Texas there is a constant war between Latin gangs of smugglers and American law enforcement officers. In the game we play the role of an unnamed hero, whose brother the policeman fell victim to Jebediah Priest, the head of the ruthless gang The Red Texas Four. Our protagonist begins a bloody vendetta, and at the same time he has to take the kidnapped daughters of his brother from the hands of criminals.

Our adventure begins in a deserted car in Ciudad Juarez, from where we can move around the surrounding towns and deserts of the borderland. Each location offers zones for trade, arms sales, a workshop and a board with job offers, which come down to the mission to eliminate local warlords and criminal groups or to deliver one of the five available in-game goods to a specific location. For each completed task we receive money that we can spend on the purchase of better weapons, equipment (grenades, dynamite, etc.) or a car (from free but heavily armored jeeps to fast and light vehicles reminiscent of mustangs). After leaving the city, we move to a larger map of the borderland, which indicates the missions that we have to fulfil. It is also possible to hunt groups of smugglers moving around the map. After completing a series of main tasks, we meet one of the members of the Jebediah Priesta gang. Overcoming it gives the opportunity to go to another major part of the borderland. In total, the creators prepared four extensive maps.

The game is observed from a bird's eye view. The gameplay in Mexican Motor Mafia is very simple in assumptions and easy to master. It boils down practically to controlling a car and clicking with the small viewfinder on enemy vehicles. This does not mean that the game is easy. The longer we play it, the stronger and faster the opponents become, and the better they manoeuvre their cars.

The title does not offer multiplayer mode, but allows you to place your best results on the web.

Mexican Motor Mafia is distinguished by its excellent climate, additionally enhanced by great, dynamic music stylized on American country and Mexican narcocorrido, which very quickly falls into the ear and is completely free of boredom. From the graphic point of view, the title looks good. The two-dimensional backgrounds are varied and well reflect the atmosphere of the conflict-ridden Mexican-American borderland. Interesting, drawing film interludes also deserve attention.
