Midnight Ghost Hunt PC

Midnight Ghost Hunt is an unusual game in which players play as ghosts and ghost hunters. It's a multiplayer game, mechanically inspired by hide and seek. It is the debut project of Vaulted Sky Games and was published by Coffee Stain Publishing.

Mechanics

Midnight Ghost Hunt is a first-person game. Each player can either be a hunter or a ghost. The former must track down and capture all ghosts before midnight. The latter must avoid getting caught.

Ghosts are incorporeal and can hide by possessing objects, such as suits of armor, weapons and furniture. Only when possessing something can they interact with the hunters - even then, though, they're at a disadvantage in direct combat and should thus focus on hiding.

The hunters are equipped with ghost-detecting and capturing gear. Their greatest enemy is time. If they don't locate and catch all ghosts before midnight, all defeated spirits are freed and return to the game. They also become stronger - the roles are reversed, the hunters becoming the prey.

Game modes

Midnight Ghost Hunt supports exclusively online multiplayer.

Technical aspects

Midnight Ghost Hunt features decent 3D visuals, its artstyle reminiscent of the Ghostbusters movies. The locations, objects and characters designs are all pretty detailed. The impressive lighting is also worth mentioning.
