SCP: Secret Laboratory takes us to a fictional universe known from the creepypastas - horror stories distributed on the Internet. SCP is a secret organization commissioned by governments around the world to study and protect paranormal objects, phenomena, and entities. When a breach occurs in its laboratory, there is a danger that the anomalies stored there will escape into the wild.

Mechanics

In SCP: Secret Laboratory we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). During the game we can take one of five roles, which determine our tasks. The game takes place in dark locations. Levels are procedurally generated, which makes each match look different. The team that first manages to complete all the objectives of their mission wins.

While as members of the D-class staff (lab rats) or scientists we have to leave the facility in one piece, as part of the Nine-Tailed Fox team we have to eliminate all dangers. Apart from that we can take on the role of a member of the Chaos Insurgency - traitors assisting D-class personnel in their escape. The last place on the list of available roles play various anomalies, called SCP entities. They vary in both appearance and abilities. For example, SCP-173 is a sculpture that can only move when nobody is looking, SCP-939 is a creature that can track its victims with its hearing, and SCP-106 is a humanoid that can pass through walls and send enemies into another dimension.
