A first-person multiplayer action game. In Midnight Murder Club we end up inside a mansion bathed in darkness and we must fight other players to survive. We can use a flashlight to check our surroundings, but this also exposes our location to enemies. Our character can rely on a diverse arsenal and there are both coop & competitive modes.
Midnight Murder Club is an action title designed for online multiplayer gameplay. It was developed by the independent American team Velan Studios (their portfolio includes the Knockout City project), and it was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment (as part of PlayStation Publishing).
In Midnight Murder Club we receive an invitation from the titular club to a luxurious mansion. Upon arrival at the location, we are provided with a mask to hide our identity. We also receive a gun and a flashlight. Then we find ourselves in a building bathed in complete darkness, where we engage in a life-and-death fights with other club members.
In Midnight Murder Club we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The game takes place in corridors and rooms in complete darkness, making it impossible to see enemies or details of the surroundings. Although nothing prevents us from combating this inconvenience by turning on the flashlight, it will also make us visible to opponents.
For this reason, often a better solution is to listen for the sounds of footsteps and gunshots, or to watch for the lights emitted by the flashlights of our enemies. The game also implemented a proximity voice chat, which allows us to communicate with other participants of the game.
In addition to effective tactics, our chances of victory are increased by the "power-ups" scattered around the residence. We can use things like tablets that allow us to see in the dark, bulletproof vests, traps to set for enemies, and Molotov cocktails.
Midnight Murder Club only allows for multiplayer gameplay over the Internet. The game offers modes focusing on cooperation or competition for up to 6 players. Apart from the simple Free-for-All and Team Deathmatch modes, we can also find objective-based modes like Head Hunters (where we have to guard special totems or try to destroy them) and Thief in the Night (the player who collects the most loot wins).

Game Ratings for Midnight Murder Club Video Game.
Video Chums: 4 / 5 by A.J. Maciejewski
The fact that I don't usually like first-person shooters and I loved my time with Midnight Murder Club speaks volumes so definitely play it. ??
NextPlay: 5 / 10 by Brad Goodwin
Midnight Murder Club has a strong perception of what it needs to be, but fails to brew up anything that would survive more than one games night with the gang thanks to its one map and little to nothing to work towards.
NoobFeed: 65 / 100 by Adiba Manha
Midnight Murder Club could grow into something far greater, but for now, though, it sits in a peculiar space. It's genuinely thrilling sometimes, but its underbaked elements and lack of accessibility prevent it from reaching the audience it deserves.
