An oldschool shooter game by Italo Games, utilizing a top-down perspective. Milanoir is set in Milan during the 1970s. The protagonist is Sacchi Piero, who was framed for murder and sentenced to a life in prison. However, he manages to leave the prison in unclear circumstances and from now on his goal is to find the person responsible for his incarceration.
Milanoir for PC is a stylish action game inspired by old Italian crime movies. The production was developed by Italo Games and published by Gambitious Digital Entertainment.
The game is set in Milan during the 1970s. You play as a man called Sacchi Piero, framed for murder he did not commit. His life sentence is, however, mysteriously interrupted, and as Piero leaves prison, he sets out to find the person responsible for his incarceration.
The creators of Milanoir utilized the atmosphere and tropes from classic Italian movies form the 1970s, such as Almost Human or Milano calibro 9.
Mechanics-wise, Milanoir is an oldschool shooter game utilizing a top-down perspective. During the game, you explore Milan and eliminate enemies with a wide range of firearms and other weapons, such as grenades or Molotov cocktails.
The campaign also features many special sections, e.g. car or motorboat chases.
Apart from the singleplayer mode, the game also features a local co-op mode for two players. You can also participate in PvP battles, in which you fight against other in enclosed arenas.
The game features oldschool pixel-art visuals, inspired by productions from the 1990s. The soundtrack, however, consists of tracks based on music about two decades older.
