Developed by the one-man studio Machineboy, a classic point-and-click adventure game. Milkmaid of the Milky Way tells the story of a girl named Ruth who lives a dull and poor life on a farm during the 1920s. One day she notices a mysterious, golden spaceship and is forced to embark on a life-changing adventure. The production is inspired by classic adventure games from the 90s, and introduces no revolutionary changes to the genre.

Mechanics

Milkmaid of the Milky Way published on PC and iOS draws inspiration from adventure titles from the 1990s. Gameplay is quite typical and consists in travelling through various locations and looking for items necessary for solving different puzzles. The title is rather short – it can be finished in around three hours. The developer introduced an interesting and amusing element – all dialogues rhyme.

Technical aspects

Just like many productions developed by small studios, Milkmaid of the Milky Way utilises pixel-art visuals. Due to that, the title resembles 8- and 16-bit console games.
