Minecraft: Story Mode is the next episodic adventure game developed by the renowned American Telltale Games studio. The title varies from the previous productions of the developer, as it has been created as the result of cooperation with the Swedish Mojang AB company – the creators of the extremely popular Minecraft; the action of Telltale’s new title will take place in the universe of this famous production.
In just a few years from the release of the first playable version of Minecraft, it has become a real phenomenon of mass culture, bringing together dozens upon dozens of fans. The game itself received numerous awards and was an incredible financial success for its creators; however, it did not feature even a symbolic storyline; in spite of that fact, the main hero Steve, Herobrine or the Enderman are known to almost every player. The aim of the Telltale Games studio was not to create Steve’s official story or explain the details behind various elements of Minecraft. They have chosen to develop a completely independent title, with new heroes and a fresh story.
As most of the Telltale studio’s productions, Minecraft: Story Mode will be released in episodes. The adventure in the world of Minecraft will be presented with the same distinctive graphic style as in the original game, the heroes and the world itself will be built from large, square blocks.
