Another digital adaptation of the popular board game developed cooperatively by Engine Software and Ubisoft with Nintendo Switch in mind. The gameplay is based on the formula known from the board game original. We move tokens by as many fields as we roll on the dice. While playing, we trade real estates and build houses and hotels that provide us with income since any player has to pay rent if they step into another player’s property.

Monopoly for Nintendo Switch is a digital adaptation of the classic board game that deals with real estate trading. The production was developed by Engine Software with Nintendo Switch in mind and published by Ubisoft.

Mechanics

Gameplay in Monopoly for Nintendo Switch is based on the formula created for the purposes of the original. We start out on the START field and move our token by a number of fields set by the dice throw. During the game, we trade with real estates and build new buildings that are meant to provide us income. Entering another player’s field forces us to pay him/her rent. Naturally, the person who has earned the most money wins the match.

The game takes place on one of three three-dimensional boards – we can choose from Classic City, Amusement Park, and Haunted Town. Moreover, before we start, we can select one of six rule sets (the so-called House Rules). As we progress and succeed, we unlock bonus content prepared by the developers.
