Narru: The Forgotten Lands

Narru: The Forgotten Lands is a puzzle-adventure game in which we explore the ruins of a forgotten civilization. It was developed by DreamStorm Studios, an independent Polish game developer, and its release was made possible, among other things, thanks to support from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.

Plot

In Narru: The Forgotten Lands we take control of a luminous sphere that travels through the ruins of a place once inhabited by a great civilization. Guided by the voice of the goddess, we explore atmospheric locations and learn more about their former inhabitants, gradually uncovering the mystery of their disappearance.

Game mechanics

Narru: The Forgotten Lands takes us through a variety of locations - from a picturesque settlement in a dense forest, through dark undergrounds, to fantastic locations hanging in the skies. While exploring them, we face various environmental puzzles, which consist mainly of activating ancient mechanisms. Solving the puzzles makes the grey-tinged surroundings bloom anew, sparkling with a spectrum of colors. As you progress, the range of your abilities grows - after mastering the ability to move on the surface of water or on walls, you gain access to previously inaccessible areas and can face increasingly complex problems.

With time we discover more secrets of each location, finding secret passages or carefully hidden altars and paintings. The latter, along with the stories of the goddess, are a valuable source of information about the game world and its former inhabitants.

Technical aspects

Narru: The Forgotten Lands features colorful and good quality graphics. We especially like the varied and detailed designs of the locations.
