Game mode: single / multiplayer
Multiplayer mode: Internet / split screen, players: 1-40
NASCAR Heat 5 is the fifth part of the series after its reboot in 2016 and the first one, which was created by 704Games, previously the publisher of the series. In the game we take part in the popular NASCAR races organized in North America, and we have received several gameplay schemes that can be played both in single and multiplayer mode.
In game, we have a wide range of licensed cars, teams and drivers participating in real NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series and Xtreme Dirt Series. We race them on 34 authentic, carefully mapped tracks, among them the famous Daytona or Indianapolis, as well as 5 non-existent dirt tracks created for the game. The driving model is a mix of simulation elements with arcade gameplay, and its operation is based on solutions developed for previous parts of the series. If the player doesn't feel too confident behind the virtual wheel, he can test the car in a special mode before taking part in the actual race, where he will then find the best way to beat the track.
NASCAR Heat 5 has extensive features to support the esport. In the game, we participate in qualifying for official eNASCAR races and our results are constantly updated in special rankings.
The main game mode is the career. It involves managing a selected team taking part in NASCAR races - it may be one of the leading teams or just taking their first steps on the way to the top. Making logistical and organizational decisions is as important here as skillful struggle on the track. The developers have prepared the functions of this mode in relation to previous releases, significantly improving the statistics of available teams.
In addition to the career mode there is also a challenge mode where we have to achieve the best lap times while meeting a few other conditions.
NASCAR Heat 5 allows you to play in multiplayer mode via the Internet (up to 40 people at a time) or offline mode via a split screen.
Due to the nature of the game, all cars and tracks have been reproduced with great care, and the graphic design of the game at the time of its premiere was at a high level.
The legendary NASCAR race commentator, Ken Squire, was involved in the production. Apart from him, there were also such stars as Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick.
