Needy Girl Overdose is a visual novel with sim elements, also known under the title Needy Streamer Overload. Game was developed in cooperation with WSS playground and xemono.

Plot

The main character of the game Needy Girl Overdose is Ame - the girl who tries to make a stunning career as a streamer under the nickname "OMGkawaiiAngel". We take on the role of a character known as P-chan. Being in a close relationship with Ame, we are also her managers and we have to take care not only of her career, but also of her well-being. Over time, we learn more and more about Ame, her past, her current problems, the desperation with which she pursues her goals, and the role we play in her life.

The story told in the game has many ramifications and endings, and which ending we see depends on our actions and decisions.

Game mechanics

In Needy Girl Overdose we are responsible mainly for shaping Ame's career. We watch her broadcasts, moderate the commentary section and respond to messages from fans as well as suggest topics for future streams to our protégée. As time goes by, "OMGkawaiiAngel's" fan base begins to grow, which not only brings Ame closer to realizing her dream, but is also reflected in the size of her wallet.

But it doesn't stop there, because as someone very close to Ame, we also have to take care of her well-being. Not only do we have to keep in touch with her by exchanging messages, but we also have to take her out and give her gifts from time to time. We can see how well we are doing by looking at Ame's four statistics; three are related to her state of mind (stress, attachment, and mental darkness) and one to her online career (number of followers). In addition, Ame's statements about us, whether published by her on social media or contained in her private correspondence, are a valuable source of clues about our effectiveness.
