Game mechanics

In Occult we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). The game is divided into missions, which throw us into different corners of the world. In each of them we have to do a series of tasks, which aim is to drive forces of evil out of the region. To do this, we have to carefully look around the environment in search of useful items (including keys that open the passages to closed parts of the locations) and clues, as well as solve numerous puzzles.

As you can guess, it doesn't end there, because in the visited places quickly appear bloodthirsty and terrifying monsters that do everything to thwart our plans. As if that wasn't enough, from time to time we have to fight with the cultists who try to ally with the forces of evil. Matters are complicated by the fact that the protagonists don't have weapons, so in order to survive they have to work quietly and closely (fallen allies must be revived in time to continue the game), and if necessary - escape.

Game modes

Occult allows you to play solo, but the game has been prepared with online co-op mode in mind.

Technical aspects

Occult features quite good quality graphics. The enemy models are diverse and detailed, and the locations bathed in darkness are atmospheric and varied.
