Release Date: August 15, 2025
A remastered version of the free RPG from 2008, released under the same title. OFF allows us to take control over a baseball player. Our protagonist visits various locations, dealing with enemies and trying to "cleanse the world.
In 2008, OFF, a free RPG game, was released. It was created using the RPG Maker 2003 tool. Years later, the developer known as Mortis Ghost (one of the original authors) entered a collaboration with Fangamer. They prepared a remaster of this production with the same title.
In OFF we watch the action from a bird's eye view.
We are controlling a baseball player and our task is to "cleanse the world". This involves the need to explore a series of locations and get rid of the ghosts haunting them. Our actions are closely observed by a cat named Judge.
The adventure leads us through a post office, a library, a shopping center, an amusement park, and a factory. The game world is divided into zones protected by Guardians and we must defeat them, thereby gaining so-called zodiac cards and gaining access to subsequent locations. In each of them, various missions await completion, and environmental and logical puzzles await solving.
Of course, there are also opponents we have to defeat. The game approaches the combat system in an unusual way, because although it was inspired by jRPG games, the battles are not turn-based. Instead, we make the next moves after our character has "cooled down". The game also allows us to automate battles.
Apart from a baseball bat, we can make use of the power of elements such as... smoke, sugar, meat, plastic or metal.
OFF has simple graphics made in pixel art technique.

Game Ratings for OFF Video Game.
Gamer Social Club: 7 / 10 by Sean "KingOTheCask" Richards
Overall, I found OFF, while being a very unique game, not something that I would ever return to. There is an absolute GLUT of turn-based RPGs out there – many of which I would recommend before OFF. That being said, if you are really looking for something that does break the mold of your standard RPG, then OFF might be the exact game that you’re looking for.
Gaming Furever: 4 / 5 by Joshua Wyld
OFF is best played with a certain mindset. This includes a willingness to be frustrated by potentially hard logic puzzles, a desire to be presented with hard questions, and a want to play through a beloved piece of recent gaming history. I had no idea what to expect with OFF, but what I came away with was an appreciation for the ambitiously creative, yet simple world and story design, and a strange pull to see the surreal story through to the end, for better or worse. OFF is truly one of a kind.
The Switch Effect: 4 / 5 by Richard Heaton
OFF is an interesting and thought provoking RPG. You should be able to beat it in under ten hours, which is solid for its $14.99 price tag.
