An RPG game developed by independent Best Gaem Studio and at the same time a peculiar parody of the rather unpopular pay-to-win business model. We are taken to a typical fantasy world and play as equally unoriginal hero, who during his glorious quest experiences countless “benefits" of the said business model and discovers its inner workings.
Pay2Win: The Tricks Exposed is a simple RPG developed by the independent Best Gaem Studio. It is a satire on the pay-to-win business model hated by players but loved by game publishers, very often used in "free" online productions and MMOs. Treated as an excellent tool for getting more cash from players, it treats unfairly all players who don't spend money on them.
The plot of Pay2Win: The Tricks Exposed approaches the pay-to-win theme in a humorous way. While having fun, we move to the ordinary fantasy world and play the role of a typical hero who, during his lofty mission, constantly experiences the "benefits" of the titular business model and gradually discovers the mechanisms that govern it.
Pay2Win: The Tricks Exposed was created in a way resembling MMORPG games. We have an extensive open world, a variety of tasks to perform and a system of character and equipment development. The whole, however, is only a dummy, and the characters encountered during the game aren't real players, but NPCs controlled by artificial intelligence. Special emphasis was put on fictional microtransactions accompanying us during the game at almost every step, requiring us to pay for even the simplest activities. Fortunately, the currency we spend in the game is unlimited, and the counter of spent cash is only intended to make players aware of how easily some game publishers reach for their wallets.
Despite its humorous and purely ridiculous character, Pay2Win: The Tricks Exposed offers aesthetic 3D graphics, although the budget character of the production can be seen.
