Oxenfree is a two-dimensional adventure in the convention of paranormal horror. The player takes on the role of a teenager who arrives with a group of friends on a mysterious island and accidentally opens a connection with the world of nightmares. The production of the game on the PC platform, PS4, etc. is the responsibility of Night School studio, composed of former Telltale Games employees.

Story

The main character, Alex, doesn't stand out from the crowd. He is about to finish high school and, in order to commemorate the closure of this stage in his life, decides with his closest friends to organize a trip to the island, which has been a traditional place of farewell for schoolchildren for years. Initially, the trip goes according to plan, but after some time a group of teenagers start to worry about strange phenomena - unnatural sounds, phantoms, radio reception of non-existent stations.... A moment later it turns out that Alex and her friends unwittingly opened the door to another dimension. This is where the source of disturbances of reality, ghosts and other terrifying anomalies, harassing newcomers lies.
