Pac-Man Fever is a typical representative of so called party games, i.e. simple productions, focusing mainly on providing good fun, accessible even for less experienced players. The devs' inspiration were certainly such hits as Mario Party. This time, however, the focus is on characters known from Namco games. Apart from the title Pac-Man, there are five other characters: Ms. Pac-Man, Heihachi (Tekken series), Tiger (Tekken series), Astaroth (Soul Calibur series) and Reiko (Ridge Racer series). We can play as each of these characters. In addition, their appearance has been modified so that they fit more closely to the graphic style of the game. Mass Media is responsible for the development of Pac-Man Fever , the studio is also known for such games as Shrek: Super Party, or Muppets Party Cruise. This game was released on PS2 and Gamecube. Both versions present a very similar level of execution.

The game is played on three main maps. The maps differ in terms of main theme, and we can choose between tropical, futuristic and medieval setting. The choice of the board obviously plays a very important role. Each time we take part in different types of mini-games. There are more than 30 of them. It is worth mentioning here that mini-games are not too complicated. Completion of each task takes no more than several minutes. Depending on our achievements we are moved by a certain number of fields. Each time different characters take part in the game. They can be controlled by the AI or up to three other players. The game is most often played on a common screen. When it comes to the mini-games themselves, they are very diverse. We deal with fishing, taking part in a simple dance party or playing golf. Visually Pac-Man Fever is quite average, although it is worth paying attention to a very large variety of places we visit.
