Paint the Town Red is a brawler or roguelite game depending on our preferences. Game was developed by South East Games, an indie studio. It is unique in that practically everything on the map can be used as a weapon.
In Scenario or Arena modes our task is the same - kill all opponents. In Beneath, on the other hand, we play as an adventurer who enters the underworld to face an ancient evil. Our ultimate goal is to defeat the four elder gods.
Depending on the mode we choose, the gameplay rules change. The game moves from a bloody brawler to a roguelite type of game.
Playing in Scenario mode we go to one of 5 specific locations. Our task is to kill other characters in the area. We can use everything what we find on our way - from glasses, through knives to firearms. In addition, lovers of combat can also face waves of enemies in the Arena and check how long they manage to survive.
The production also offers a Beneath mode. We play the role of an adventurer, and we start our journey by choosing one of 5 available classes, each of which is characterized by special skills. Our final goal is to face 4 powerful bosses.
Game offers online co-op for up to 4 players, but it is only available for PC users. Those wishing to play on consoles can only play in single player mode.
The developers have used voxel-based graphics. Thanks to this, we can have devastating interactions with many of the objects and characters in the arenas.

Paint the Town Red (PTTR) is a decent action sandbox game that can appeal to multiple kinds of players. For those of you who wanted a gorier version of Minecraft, this game is for you! However, the controls/mechanics are difficult to deal with. The roguelike mode Beneath is an interesting step in the right direction, but it pales in comparison to other modes. If you want this game, it's because you literally want to paint the town red in a sandbox environment, and paint the town red you shall.
