German studio Polygon Art, founded in 2013, over the years specialized in low- and medium-budget projects, and over time began to focus more and more on creating simulation games. The latter includes the Park Ranger Simulator described here, in which we can test ourselves as a national park ranger.
In Park Ranger Simulator, we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The title puts at our disposal an open world of less than 20 square kilometers, with a diurnal cycle and changing weather conditions. In it we find two cities and various biomes inhabited by specific animal species. We move through it on foot or at the controls of vehicles and machines, from an off-road vehicle to a boat to a helicopter.
The driving force of the game is the tasks, which include cutting down and removing trees, putting out fires or performing repair work. We should also pay attention to animal population indicators, as they play an important role in the evaluation of the park (which in turn translates into the funds allocated to us). If necessary, we can grab a gun and carry out a cull.
We can spend the money we earn on new pieces of equipment and vehicles. There is also no shortage of opportunities to build and modernize camps that are our outposts. We stock up on the necessary materials in the cities.
Park Ranger Simulator can be played as a single player or in cooperative mode over the Internet.
