Pepper Grinder

Pepper Grinder is an action adventure game characterized by colorful, two-dimensional graphics. It was developed by illustrator and producer Ahr Ech supported by a small team. The title resembles the arcade game Drill Dozer known from the Game Boy Advance console.

Plot

The title Pepper is a pirate who has been abandoned by luck. Not only does she wake up stranded on the shore instead of being on a ship, but the Narlings have taken her treasure. The heroine sets out on the trail of her lost fortune armed with a powerful weapon - a Grinder capable of breaking through most obstacles.

Game mechanics

Pepper Grinder is a side-scrolling platform game that tests our dexterity and logical thinking skills. As Pepper, we explore a variety of locations, making use of a huge auger. With the help of the Grinder we break through thinner walls and substrates. When properly accelerated, we are also able to jump high above the surface, for example, to land in hard-to-reach places. By tunneling, we avoid obstacles like thorns or rivers of lava.

Grinder is the main tool for solving puzzles. These require, among other things, avoiding deadly traps, activating gears or swinging on ropes. Pepper also uses it to fight enemies, including giant bosses, the defeat of which requires the use of appropriate tactics. The heroine also makes use of captured weapons (such as a minigun).

We use the riches we collect to upgrade the Grinder and unlock more locations.
