Pistol Whip: 2089 is an add-on to the 2019 action game called Pistol Whip. The DLC takes us back to 2089, the year in which we face the androids responsible for taking over one of the planets. The Couldhead Games studio is responsible for the development and release of this game.

Plot

Pistol Whip: 2089 action takes place at the end of the 21st century (in the title year 2089), on one of the planets colonized by humanity, which was taken over by androids.

Mechanics

In Pistol Whip: 2089 we look at the world from a first person perspective ( FPP). The main task of the player is to kill the enemies that are attacking (we use mainly guns, but sometimes we also use melee attacks). It is worth noting that thanks to the use of virtual reality and motion controllers we have almost complete freedom - we can, for example, avoid firing and hide behind covers.

Expansion introduces several new types of enemies, with some of the robots having the ability to teleport.

Game modes

In Pistol Whip: 2089 we can only play alone. The basic game mode is a story campaign.

Technical aspects

Pistol Whip: 2089 has quite an average, three-dimensional graphic design. The graphics do not impress with the level of detail and are mainly distinguished by very distinctive colours.

Other information

PC version of Pistol Whip: 2089 works with Oculus VR sets (Rift and Quest). The PlayStation 4 dedicated edition requires a PlayStation VR helmet and PlayStation Move controllers to work.
