Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge is an action adventure game using the license of an extremely popular universe of Star Wars. The player takes on the role of a robot ( a droid), which crashes on the planet Batuu and has to survive by dealing with all kinds of threats. The game is being created in the ILMxLAB studio - responsible, among others, for the successful series of short games Vader Immortal - and, like those games , uses virtual reality.

Plot

The main hero of Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge is a droid, which crashes on the planet Batuu and goes to a place full of criminals known as Blackspire Outpost. In the game we can also see some characters known from the silver screen, such as C-3PO or RD2D (the former is played by Anthony Daniels, who acted in the Star Wars series).

Mechanics

In Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge, the action is observed from a first person perspective. The player's task is primarily to explore the locations and fight the enemies encountered (most often we shoot at them from blasters, with the possibility of using two at once). Sometimes we also use additional gadgets - e.g. grenades or small droids that distract our enemies.

Game modes

In Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge we can only play alone. The core of the game is a feature campaign.

Technical aspects

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge has a pretty, three-dimensional graphic design. Typically for games developed for virtual reality sets, the graphics are not extremely detailed, but competently reflect the characteristic atmosphere of Star Wars. The game works with Oculus VR.
