Pro Cycling Manager 2023 is, as the name implies, a cycling manager. The player gets to lead an entire team or a single cyclist. Aside from working for good results, we must also handle finances and budget.
Pro Cycling Manager 2023 is a cycling-themed sports manager. Just like the previous installments of the series, it was developed by the French studio Cyanide, also responsible for Tour de France.
We play as a manager of a modern cycling team. The player can choose to manage an existing team or create their own. Throughout the game we recruit promising athletes, plan their training, acquire better equipment and hire additional personnel, such as coaches and doctors. We're also tasked with managing tactics during the competitions themselves. We must also handle our team's morale and budget, which requires acquiring sponsors.
Alternatively, instead of an entire team, we can handle just the career of a single athlete thanks to the Pro Cyclist mode. This mode has the player create a cyclist of their own, choose a team for him and oversee his growth. Succeeding rewards him with new abilities and transfers to better teams.
Pro Cycling Manager 2023 is officially licensed. This means the game features 80 teams (such as Jumbo-Visma, Ineos-Grenadiers, UAE Team Emirates and Trek-Segafredo) made up of over 800 professional cyclists. They can compete in 260 races and on 700 stages, including major international races such as Tour de France, Vuelta, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, Tour de Suisse and Giro di Como.
The game supports singleplayer and competitive multiplayer.
The 3D visuals of Pro Cycling Manager 2023 are simple but appealing, their biggest strength being the richness and variety of the recreated cycling tracks.
