Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 for PC, PS4 and etc. is another installment in the football simulation series developed by Konami since 1996 (under this name, the series is published since 2001). The game was released on the twentieth anniversary of the release of the original game. Although the core of the gameplay remains unchanged since the previous edition of the game, this installment brings some larger and smaller new ideas. Thus the gameplay is up to date, but it also brings the player to the beginnings of the franchise.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 for PC, PS4 and etc. is powered by an improved version of the Fox Engine used in the previous edition. Unfortunately, the PC version of the game is based on a medium variant of the engine, so the graphics are worse than in the cases of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions, but still better than in PES 2015. The virtual footballers were given plenty of new animations, so they seem to move in an even more natural way. Also, new physics were applied to the ball, which makes it more convincing. Collisions were also taken into account when it comes to the improvements - they are now calculated in real time and depend on the positions of the players' bodies when they collide.
