A free-to-play action online game from Wargaming studio. WoT: Heat is quite different from the "main" World of Tanks" game - it's easier to pick up and play, there are respawns after death, the fights are more intimate and there are many mechanics known from hero shooter titles.

In 2010, Wargaming studio released an MMO dedicated to tanks titled World of Tanks, which quickly became a global hit. World of Tanks: Heat, which was developed under the codename Project CW, is a variation on this production. Although at first glance both titles may seem similar to each other, they differ quite a lot and are aimed at different target groups. The game operates on a free-to-play model with microtransactions.

Gameplay

World of Tanks: Heat takes us to an alternative, futuristic world. We can observe the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). During the game we take control of technologically advanced tanks and engage in multiplayer battles on vast arenas. The fights are based on principles drawn from popular hero shooters, led by the Overwatch series and by Apex Legends.

Operators and tanks

Before starting the battle, we can choose the model of the tank and its operator (character class). The decision we made determines our capabilities on the battlefield. While tanks perform specific functions (tank, support, DPS), operators provide us with access to specific abilities.

Lower entry point

In World of Tanks: Heat the entry point has been set lower than in World of Tanks. Tanks have a "life" bar that regenerates during gameplay, and after death, we can respawn and continue the fight for victory. The gameplay itself has become faster than in the original. Nonetheless, we still need to devote some time to mastering the controls and getting used to the inertia when firing.

Development of combat potential

As we progress, we unlock not only better machines, but also various improvements and upgrades to the tanks we already own (including new armor and weapons). In addition, we acquire and develop operators.
