Released in 2017, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (later renamed PUBG Battlegrounds) represented the battle royale subgenre, giving it global recognition and popularity. Over time, the work of the PUBG Studios team lived to see side productions, some of which belonged to other subtypes of shooters. One of them is PUBG: Blindspot, described here, which is the fruit of cooperation between the authors of the original and the ARC Team. The item is distributed in a free-to-play model with micropayments.
In PUBG: Blindspot the action is viewed from a bird's eye view. The foundation of this work is multiplayer skirmishes between two teams of five players. The task set before one team is to break through a building and break into a heavily guarded crypt and hack it using a decryptor. The other team must prevent the first team from completing its mission by putting up an op?r, as well as blocking doors and deploying blockades.
The key to success here is close cooperation with teammates. Among other things, coordination is made possible by the ability to send your line of sight to other team members, a form of non-verbal communication on the battlefield.
The characters we play in PUBG: Blindspot differ from one another in terms of their preferred arsenal and gadgets used. The former primarily includes firearms, such as assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns, sniper rifles or grenade launchers, as well as projectile weapons, such as concussion and smoke grenades. In addition, there are reconnaissance drones and proximity explosives, among others, waiting to be tested.
PUBG: Blindspot only allows multiplayer gameplay over the Internet for up to 10 people.
The visuals of PUBG: Blindspot are maintained in a style that combines relatively simple location designs with character models reminiscent of those from Fortnite.
