Quake Live is a dynamic online first-person shooter. The game mechanics are based on Quake III Arena. The list of available game modes is long and includes the classic Deathmatch among others, while the combat takes place on some of its most famous maps.
The game is intended for players possessing varied levels of skill. The primary difference between Quake III and Quake Live is the increased importance of social networking solutions, especially the special Internet service, fully supported by the developer team. It lets you create your own list of friends or communication mechanisms, among other things. You are also given access to a broad range of statistic tools, thanks to which you can keep track of our activities. Quake Live puts a big emphasis on tournaments, offering valuable prizes for the winners.
The biggest advantage of Quake Live is the fact that the game is available completely free of charge, although the player is forced to watch advertisements implemented by IGA Worldwide, a grand agency dealing in in-game advertising. The graphics of Quake Live show similar quality to Quake III Arena, an the fact is reflected in the rather modest system requirements.
