Read Only Memories: Neurodiver is a continuation of cyberpunk visual novel with adventure elements - 2064: Read Only Memories. In the sequel, players take on the role of ES88 and look for a villain with extraordinary mental abilities, who sows confusion in the subconscious of the inhabitants of Neo-San Francisco. Similarly to the previous installment, the game was developed by The MidBoss.

Plot

The action takes place in the cyberpunk town of Neo-San Francisco, known from the previous installment. Players assume the role of the ES88 telepath, employed by the powerful MINERVA organisation specialising in neurotechnology and sensory projection. Connection to the Neurodiver device gives the opportunity to immerse in the memories of others in exchange for the loss of one's own identity. This allows ES88 to track down the villain Esper, also known as Golden Butterfly, who wreaks havoc in the subconsciousness of the city's inhabitants.
