A racing game with simulation elements. Recharge is about track racing and we can drive remote controlled cars. The game supports both singleplayer and online multiplayer modes. We can fight for wins on both amateur and professional RC tracks.

Game modes

The independent American studio Room Games tried its hand at various genres over the years. Its portfolio includes titles such a psychological horror Floor 9, as well as the skill-based Jumping Jack. It also found a place for the Recharge described here, which is a racing game with simulation elements, dedicated to remote-controlled cars (RC).

Gameplay

In Recharge we can watch the action both from behind our miniature vehicle and over its hood. The pillar of the gameplay are races that take place in various locations. The list of tracks includes both professional ones inspired by real routes, and amateur tracks cutting through beaches, amusement parks, and skate parks, which wind not only horizontally, but also vertically.

Realism and vehicle modifications

Even though the driving model is arcade, it has been designed in such a way that remotely controlled vehicles behave in a realistic manner, in accordance with the laws of physics. The "simulation" aspect of this production is complemented by the support of RC controllers.

This is not the end, because Recharge also allows us to look under the "hood" of the car and install various improvements, including the engine or chassis. Additionally, we can customize the appearance of vehicles through painting and stickers, and even by replacing the bodywork.

Game modes

Recharge can be played alone or in multiplayer mode over the Internet for up to 12 players. For lone players, the possibility of racing against AI-controlled opponents or participating in time trials has been prepared. Multiplayer gameplay, on the other hand, allows participation in public races or creating private rooms.
