In the history of Konami, one can find both a moment in which the company began to gradually withdraw from the video game industry, and a moment of "recurrence" when it decided to return to its map (with successes such as the successful remake of Silent Hill 2). One of the elements of this comeback was Rev. NOiR, a jRPG-type production produced by Nobuki Kadoi. We're talking about a Japanese developer with such projects on his resume as Drakengard 2, Gunslinger Stratos and Lord of Vermilion.
Rev. NOiR was announced in February 2026. At the time of the reveal, many details about the production were shrouded in mystery. However, Konami revealed snippets of information about the plot, and shared footage to draw conclusions about how the gameplay will be.
In Rev. NOiR, the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP), while the fight against enemies is dynamic in nature. In addition, there is no lack of elements characteristic of the genre, led by building relationships with companions or a story rich in touching moments.
In Rev. NOiR we find ourselves in a fantastic world, where a phenomenon known as Lightfall causes the death of everyone on whom luminous drops fall. During the gameplay, we play the role of a protagonist suffering from amnesia, who, accompanied by a special girl, sets out on a journey to stop the ?infliction and save the world, and thus his companion.
The visuals of the Rev. NOiR game have been kept in a manga style.
