Baba Yaga – The Temple of the Witch is the first of several planned story add-ons offered as part of the Season Pass to Rise of the Tomb Raider, which was released in November 2015 on Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles, and a few months later on PC and PlayStation 4 as well. The add-on was developed by the authors of the basic game, the Crystal Dynamics studio. The company manages and develops the Tomb Raider series since 2006. In contrast to the first official DLC, which added the completely new Endurance Mode, this expansion doesn’t change anything in the gameplay mechanics, focusing only on a set of completely new adventures of miss Lara Croft.
In the add-on Baba Yaga – The Temple of the Witch released on the X360, PC and XONE platform, the protagonist journeys to a forbidden forest which few dared to enter, and where a Russian expedition previously vanished without a trace. There, Lara Croft begins to understand that she will have to face a real nightmare and that the mysterious events are caused by the witch Baba Yaga – a mythical character known from Slavic legends.
In this expansion, designed to deliver few hours of additional gameplay, the beautiful archaeologist participates in new, dangerous undertakings and faces enemies never seen before, while solving the ancient mystery of the witch. The DLC takes place in a completely new location – the aforementioned forest with a mysterious tomb located in its very core. The tomb is filled with lethal riddles waiting to be solved. The new adventure is supplemented with a new costume for Lara and a new, previously unavailable bow.
