Road to Vostok is survival postapocalyptic FPS, which action is set on the border of Russia and Finland. Our main goal is to get to the Vostok zone and survive in it. The game takes a lot of inspiration from the STALKER series.
Road to Vostok is a singleplayer survival shooter from a first-person perspective. Its action is set in a post-apocalyptic world, in a zone on the border of Finland and Russia. In it we can visit locations modeled on real places.
Road to Vostok, a one-person studio, is responsible for the game. Its creat?rca is a former lieutenant in the Finnish armed forces and lives not far from the aforementioned border. As a result, the world depicted in it was made with great attention to detail.
In Road to Vostok we will experience survival elements like crafting or taking care of our character's needs - including body temperature and mental state. There is no shortage of various quests to complete and merchandise vendors.
The title includes dynamic events such as supply drops and bandit ambushes. It will also feature a weather system.
Road to Vostok does not offer one large open world. Instead, the terrain has been divided into several maps (varying in size), over and between which we can move using special "transit points," such as underground tunnels.
Maps located in Zone 05 (Area 05) are characterized by a moderate level of difficulty. The farther to the east, the greater the challenge - with better loot available if you venture in that direction.
There are hiding places scattered around Area 05 . Only in them can the game be saved. If you die in this area, you will lose all the items you carry, but those stored in the hideouts will remain intact.
There is only one hidden hideout in Vostok, whose location changes each time you approach the game. Unlike the hiding places from Stefa 05, this one cannot be upgraded.
Vostok is covered by permanent death. If we die there, we lose our save files (and, of course, all items).
The border (Border Zone) separates Vostok from Stefa 05, and we can cross it only in special passages. Each of them requires the player to have a good knowledge of the game.
The game world consists of three zones: Zone 05 (where we begin the adventure), the Border Zone and Vostok. The latter is designed as a zone for experienced players. Getting to it and acquiring the skills to survive in it is our main goal in Road to Vostok (hence the title of the game: "Road to Vostok").
Road to Vostok runs on the Unity engine.
