RollerCoaster Tycoon on the Nintendo Switch console is a new version of a popular cycle of economic strategies in which we build and manage an amusement park. The developer of the title is the Canadian studio Nvizzio Creations, so the same band that was behind the PC-based RollerCoaster Tycoon World and the mobile RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch.
RollerCoaster Tycoon was developed on the engine RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch. The game uses to a large extent gameplay systems prepared for this mobile production. The developers removed microtransactions, improved title performance and modified the interface, adapting it to the controllers and touch screen. During the game we play as the manager of a newly opened, small amusement park.
Our task is to transform the amusement park into a huge funfair, attracting countless crowds of visitors every day. To achieve this, we need to build attractions, shops, restaurants, decorations and buildings to meet the needs of guests. In total, more than a hundred types of objects have been made available to the player. At the same time, we must ensure that our customers are always satisfied. On top of that, there is the purely business side of doing business, which requires increasing profits and cutting unnecessary costs. As usual, the biggest magnet of our park is the hallmark of the series, i.e. mountain railways. RollerCoaster Tycoon on the Nintendo Switch traditionally offers a wide range of possibilities for designing these attractions.
RollerCoaster Tycoon on the Nintendo Switch console offers colourful three-dimensional graphics, accompanied by standard cycle music and soundtrack.
