Sannabi: The Revenant is a retro action platform game. It was developed by an independent studio Wonder Potion and was published by Neowiz.

Plot

Sannabi: The Revenant takes us on a journey to the dystopian world, to be precise - to the megacity called MAGO, ruled by a corrupt conglomerate. At one point, the city was hit by a mysterious blackout, as a result of which all its inhabitants disappeared. The game's main character is a retired veteran. He's tasked with dealing with the chaos in MAGO, solving the mystery of the mysterious events that took place just 24 hours earlier, and hunting down the enigmatic creature - the titular Sannabi. Along the way, the protagonist plunges into intrigue of an even greater calibre, gradually uncovering the biggest secrets of the corporations shaking the city.

Mechanics

Sannabi: The Revenant is a side-scroller. During the game we dash across the roofs of skyscrapers, through the interiors of buildings and neon-lit streets. While exploring successive levels, we constantly have to show dexterity and reflexes. They are full of traps and terrain obstacles, and various enemies await.

The protagonist copes with all these difficulties by using an unusual prosthetic arm equipped with a hook on a chain. It allows him to grasp elements of the environment suspended above him and make long jumps, attract himself to selected places, instantly jump to opponents and slam into them with momentum or finally perform quick dodges. From time to time, you'll have to rely on Mari, a hacker, to open locked doors, pinpoint weaknesses in opponents and reveal encrypted information.

Technical aspects

Sannabi: The Revenant has a pixelart graphics kept in a rather dark, cyberpunk style. Ambient soundtrack accompanies the game.
