A platformer letting us play as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. In Disney Illusion Island the player traverses the island of Monoth in search of lost books, trying to restore peace and order.
Disney Illusion Island is a platformer set in Disney's fairytale universe. It was developed by Dlala Studios, responsible for games such as Overruled! and Battletoads.
Disney Illusion Island is set on a mysterious island of Monoth. The protagonists - Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy - have been summoned here to retrieve three magical books that once protected this land. The books, however, were stolen, with the island descending into chaos as a result. Thus, Mickey and the gang set out on a dangerous journey to restore order on Monoth.
Disney Illusion Island is a side-scroller. The player traverses a variety of locations, jumps onto platforms, swings over pits, swims, avoids traps and enemies. Progressing through the game unlocks new useful skills which let us reach previously inaccessible places and face new challenges: these include double jumping, hard landing (destroying obstacles underneath the player character) and gliding. The protagonists also meet Monoth's residents and discover the island's secrets.
Disney Illusion Island is playable in singleplayer and in local co-op for up to four people.
The visuals of Disney Illusion Island are colorful, cartoonish and very appealing. The characters are smoothly animated while the locations are richly detailed.

Disney Illusion Island is a magnificent return to form for Mickey and friends. Though we wish that it was a bit more challenging, the excellent controls, relaxing vibes, whimsical world, and oodles of collectibles all come together to make for a cozy and enjoyable experience you won't want to miss. We strongly recommend you pick up Illusion Island if you're looking for another quality 2D platformer to add to your library, it's full of that elusive Disney magic and is one of the best platformers to release on the Switch this year.
