Safari can take the form of hunting wild animals not only with a gun, but also with a camera in hand. We can find out that the latter form of it can be a very relaxing activity by playing a cozy photographer's simulator titled Seclusa, behind which is the independent Studio Niente.
In Seclusa, we view events from a first-person perspective (FPP). Most of the time we look at the world through the lens of a camera. Sitting in one of their camps on the savannah in East Africa, we observe our surroundings and look around for animals that we would like to capture in photos. Among them we find elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions or cheetahs, among others.
We can also adopt a passive form of observation, putting the camera aside and looking at the animals or admiring the landscapes and sunsets, accompanied by the sounds of African wildlife or the radio.
The driving force behind the game is assignments from conservation groups. By completing them, as well as completing daily tasks, we gradually develop as photographers, unlocking various upgrades for the camera (so that our photos gain in quality). In addition, over time we gain access to a variety of skills, the list of which includes changing the time of day and weather on cue, as well as summoning a specific animal species.
During breaks from looking at wild life, we find ourselves in our home base. We develop the facility as we progress, stocking up on various amenities. We live here with a cat, whose appearance we can modify (there is no shortage of options for stroking the animal, which should be used as often as possible). There are also puzzles to solve as part of a simple mini-game, as well as a collection of collectible cards.
