Senran Kagura is a three-dimensional action production with adventure elements, in which we play ninja students. The Japanese company MarvelousAQL and Tamsoft studio are responsible for creating the title. The game was so popular that in 2012 the second part was released on Nintendo 3DS and in 2013 the third part on PlayStation Vita. In addition, she has had numerous adaptations in the form of manga, TV series, radio plays and books.

Senran Kagura takes place in contemporary Japan. The fictional campaign follows the fate of five heroines attending the secret Hanzo academy training a ninja warrior, which is run by the government. The students get to know the techniques of fighting and learn responsibility and loyalty. As ninja Hanzo are obliged to perform tasks that serve the selection of society and order. The rivals of the protagonists are the charges of the Hebijo academy, which inculcates completely opposite values. The Ninja, who come from this school, carry out even the worst orders, working for private companies and criminal organisations.

The game is divided into several parts. The most important place in the game is the academy building, acting as a hub. Moving around the location we can talk to some characters, choose next missions, options, and heroines. The plot is presented in a form known from visual novel. Players read the text that appears on the screen, accompanied by illustrations. However, some events have animated character models. During the fight we are transferred to three-dimensional linear arenas. Players do not control the camera freely, all the time observing the action from the side. Each character has its own combat technique. We can jump, avoid blows and bring out strong and weak blows. By building a combo we gain more experience points, thanks to which we can unlock new skills. During the duel, the heroines can activate their special ninja form and lead out the strongest attacks. The role of the health belt is played by costumes, which over time are destroyed. In total, the game has 70 different missions.

Graphic design of the title should appeal to fans of Japanese animation. Three-dimensional models of opponents and environment leave a little to be desired. They are very simple and contrast with the carefully prepared models of the protagonists, which also have countless optional costumes, accessories and hairstyles.
