The Crack of Doom is the third and last game in a series of text adventures based on the story of J.R.R.R. Tolkien's novel The Lord of the Rings. Frodo Baggins and Sam Gamgee are already in Mordor and undertake the final stage of their journey to throw the Only Ring into the crater of Mount Destiny.

The Shadows of Mordor is a continuation of the adventures of the Hobbits who set off from their hometown of Shire to destroy the Only Ring in the fires of Mount Destiny. As in the case of The Fellowship of the Ring, we are dealing with a text adventure in which all commands will be entered using the keyboard.

Fellowship of the Ring is Beam Software's second game after The Hobbit, referring to the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. This time the authors were kidnapped for the writer's most outstanding work - The Lord of the Rings. Similarly to the original, the game is a text adventure, coloured from time to time with simple drawings.
