Shadow of Conspiracy: Section 2 is a science fiction detective thriller action RPG, with shooters and stealth games elements. Game, inspired by such films as Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell as well as games such as The Last of Us and Metal Gear Solid, was developed by an independent German team, Elysium Game Studio.

Plot

Shadow of Conspiracy: Section 2 takes us into the future, to Berlin of 2087. During the game we play as Nolan - law enforcement officer with unclear past. His task is to find a missing girl who is the key to solving a murder mystery of a police chief. Along the way, the protagonist discovers the title conspiracy, which involves him in an intrigue of a much larger scale.

Mechanics

In Shadow of Conspiracy: Section 2 we can observe the action from a first (FPP) or third (TPP) person perspective. Production offers us an open world. We explore futuristic Berlin and its devastated surroundings, from which the city is separated by high walls. We move through it on foot or behind the wheel of a flying car.

We perform tasks which push the plot forward and we do various side missions. We have to be careful who we deal with, because Berlin of the future is not only ruled by corruption, but it's also full of social outsiders. Along the way we often encounter enemies, which we can eliminate in open combat, using a wide range of cold weapons, or quietly, sneaking behind their backs and killing by surprise.

As we progress we develop our hero and gain skills that allow us to adapt him to our play style. Besides, our combat potential grows thanks to more and more powerful arsenal.

Technical aspects

Shadow of Conspiracy: Section 2 runs on Unreal Engine 5. The game features top-quality graphics. In addition, the title uses Metahuman technology, allowing to create almost photorealistic characters.
