The second installment in a unique simulation game series, developed by an independent studio, Might and Delight. In contrast to the first installment, in which we played as a female badger, Shelter 2 gives us an opportunity to play as a pregnant female lynx. The game recreates the life of the species in its natural habitat. During the gameplay, the player has to ensure adequate conditions for the development of their offspring.

Shelter 2 for PC is the second installment in an unusual simulator series. The first game was released in 2013 and the player's task was to provide everything their badger family needed. The series was developed by an independent Swedish team called Might and Delight. Members of the crew worked formerly on games such as Killzone, Battlefield or Mirror's Edge.

Story

In Shelter 2 for PC the player takes control over a female lynx, which brings some changes to the gameplay mechanics as the characteristics of the species are different. Although lynxes have a higher position in the food chain than badgers, it does not mean they are completely safe and free of threats in their natural environment. Since our lynx is currently pregnant, the first thing the player has to take care of is finding a den, where the offspring will be born. This will be the central "base of operations" of the animal, where it can rest, regain strength, store food and trophies. Further in the game, the player has to provide food and water for proper development of the offspring, as well as protect it against deadly threats.
