Ski Challenge 08 is the next installment of the series of sports games, in which we can play the role of a virtual alpine skier, competing for the title of the world champion in downhill skiing. The product was prepared by the Austrian Greentube studio entirely for money from sponsors, whose advertisements can be seen during the game.
After the successful 06/07 season, Greentube did not rest on its laurels, but instead worked intensely to improve the game for the new season. Taking the wishes and suggestions for improvement sent in by the fan community and partners world-wide, the SC 08 was further improved. The game is thus not only shiny and new but also incorporates some cutting-edge new features which further highlight its unique character.
The first features are already known:
* The Ski features were improved and now exhibit greater variety
* A reworking of the skier animation makes the movements appear even more realistic e.g. the skier looks back at posts missed and reacts differently to the time run upon finishing the race.
* Additional objects on the slopes ensure more detail.
* A higher frame rate and shorter reaction times make the game even more fun.
* Ski Challenge has been optimized for Windows Vista.
* Video mode - Video mode gives players the chance to save the races they have run and use them as video files. The videos have an opener and a closer and can be sent by the user to friends via e-mail or shown on video pages like YouTube.
