An action adventure game with online & local coop, in which we create a slimy character and deal with the corruption spreading in a fantasy land. Slime Heroes allows us to rely on slimy weapons and skills. We can combine them, using them both on the battlefield and during world exploration.
Slime Heroes is an action adventure game with elements of a 3D platformer, in which we embody one of the titular characters. The game was developed by the independent team Pancake Games Studio.
In Slime Heroes we enter a fantasy world plagued by corruption, which pushes it to the brink of extinction. We embody a character who is among the last of the titular slime creatures and plans to save the world. The brave hero embarks on a journey, the aim of which is to save the gods of the kingdom who are his guardians, and consequently - to restore the balance of the surrounding reality, before things completely get out of control.
We start in Slime Heroes by creating a "slime". The game allows us to give them a name, choose their eyes and mouth, as well as decide on their color scheme. We have nothing left to do but to throw ourselves into the whirl of adventures leading through jungles, icy peaks or dungeons. We explore locations with an open structure, solve puzzles and also discover secrets of the places we visit.
An important element of the game is fighting opponents. Combat is dynamic and we must deal with both standard adversaries and bosses who are much more powerful than them. Eliminating enemies requires dexterity, reflexes and perceptiveness (allowing us to discover their weak points and gaps in defense).
On the battlefield, we can make use of slimy weapons, such as light swords, spears, or heavy axes. Additionally, by defeating opponents, we collect skill gems, which we can use in various ways. Thanks to them, we can not only launch special attacks, but also make use of the power of the elements.
These last ones come in handy on the battlefield, but also during exploration, providing us with passages and places inaccessible in any other way. For example, our slimy hero can freeze water and move on ice or set fire to branches growing on gates. It is also possible to combine individual abilities.
Slime Heroes allows to play alone or in cooperative mode (on a shared screen or over the Internet). Players can join the game at any time, and the loot is shared between them.
