In Startup Company we observe the action in isometric projection. Although at the beginning of the game our account almost empty, we quickly gain orders that enable us to stand on our feet. With the appropriate financial resources, we can not only start choosing the most profitable jobs, but also start working on our own projects. The whole thing is based on an uncomplicated system - finished products consist of modules, which in turn are made up of individual components. Of course, releasing projects is not all there is - later we have to take care of their continuous development, enriching them with new functions; this, in turn, generates the so-called hype, which translates into the number of active users, also being reflected in the number of zeros in our account.

To complement all this, we can expand our office and purchase new equipment - it is worth making an effort to make our office look as good as possible, as this increases the prestige of our company and attracts better and better specialists. If we want to have a fighting chance against large corporations, we have to employ appropriate employees, whom we delegate to perform specific tasks (such as programming, graphics or marketing). Over time, we gain so many subordinates that we are unable to control their work on our own; in this case, managers whose presence automates their activities to a certain extent turn out to be useful.
